Hydrating Hair Mask

I keep talking about how dry my skin is but lately my hair has decided to pretend that it’s actually straw instead of the protein that it is. I’m going to blame either my illness or the crazy weather, so it’s not my fault, but I still need to do something! I have decided to incorporate this wonderful moisturizing hair mask into my hair routine and it’s so easy I just had to share! I always have these ingredients in my kitchen and you probably do too.

What you need:
3 oz of plain yogurt (I use organic, but you can use whatever you have. You may need more or less depending on the length and thickness of your hair)
1 banana
¼ cup of honey

Mash up the banana using a fork or spoon and combine all 3 ingredients together to form a thick paste. Apply to hair and leave it on for an hour before rinsing off. I put it on dry hair and thoroughly rinse it out in the shower, but I don’t shampoo it out. You can use this weekly if desired, or less often. I only use this on days I’m not going anywhere because it can be a bit greasy.

It’s highly moisturizing and will leave hair feeling soft and hydrated.

i don't know how on earth this is good hair mask. the banana got stuck in my hair along with the honey. it took me two days to get my hair back to normal, and not to mention a lot came out. most horrible hair mask ever i would definitely not recommend this to ANYONE unless you WANT their hair to get destroyed.

I'm sorry that happened to you! I have very thin, straight and fine hair and this works well for me. My hair is also very dry. Not everything I suggest will work for everyone and I apologize that you had such an awful experience!

A suggestion would be to microwave the honey for about 10 seconds to make it less viscous, and the banana in a blender so it would be puréed, and perhaps Anon's problems could be solved! ^^ I'm a bit hesitant on making this because I love EATING bananas, yogurt, and honey and making this would give me less to eat, haha! I'll try this either tonight or tomorrow though ^^
