Talk About Hair & Body - Acure Organics

Happy Friday Beautiful! Thanks for stopping by for Part 2 of my Acure Organics review. If you missed the first part, you can click here. Today is all about hair and body products so let’s get started!

Up first on the agenda, a duo of hair care products designed to plump up fine and limp strands of hair to give intense volume. I was sent the Pure Mint + Echinacea Stem Cell Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner. Overall, I like this pair but it’s not what I would have picked for myself. While I do have fine hair my strands are typically very dry, as is my scalp. This shampoo seems to be very drying if used too often and the conditioner doesn’t help impart enough moisture into my hair for daily use. I definitely recommend alternating use of this line with something more hydrating. I’m curious about their Moroccan Argan Oil + Argan Stem Cell line, which sounds like it would do the job.

I do, however, like using this shampoo and conditioner duo once or twice a week to clarify and revitalize my hair. I also like using it if I have an important event or big day ahead of me. It cleanses well and really does make my hair look much more full and voluminous. I’m not the biggest fan of the scent as it is a bit medicinal but it’s not terrible or unbearable. These hair products also seem to help my style last longer and keep my roots from getting greasy very quickly.

The final two products in my review are both body care related. The Sensitive Unscented Body Wash, which is formulated with CoQ10 and Argan Stem Cells, is a rich and creamy moisturizing body wash. It is very soothing and intensely hydrating. I’m more of a soap kind of girl but I do like this, especially for shaving. It rinses cleanly and leaves skin feeling soft.

Their Unscented Cocoa Butter + CoQ10 Ultra Hydrating Body Lotion is my new absolute favorite daily lotion. I’m obsessed! It’s so light yet deeply hydrating. My skin drinks this lotion up and feels completely healthy and moisturized after application. It has no scent at all, which is a must for my daily body lotion. I’m so picky when it comes to lotions because I hate that heavy, tacky feeling some moisturizers leave on the skin but this one is not heavy or greasy at all! I can’t say enough good things about this lotion but I will say that I will always have a bottle handy because it’s that awesome!

This wraps up my thoughts on the Acure Organics products I have been fortunate enough to test out. Have a great weekend!

Talk About Skin Care - Acure Organics

When I asked you Beauties what you wanted to see on the blog a large number of you asked me for my thoughts on Acure Organics and their line of products. I contacted the company and I received a box of goodies that I have been testing out for about a month now. Acure Organics is an amazing family owned and operated company who believes in providing high quality fair trade, natural and certified organic personal care products. They never test on animals or include parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances or colors, or any other harmful ingredients. Their products are also really affordable!

Without further ado, here is part one of my Acure review and my thoughts on the skin care products they sent me.

As you may know, I have normal to dry skin that is fairly sensitive. I also have a very sensitive nose when it comes to fragrance so I have really been enjoying the fragrance free Sensitive Facial Cleanser Argan Oil + Probiotic. It is a fairly thick and creamy cleanser that hydrates and plumps up the skin to leave it looking healthy. This cleanser is perfect for my skin! It is extremely gentle so I can use it daily, or even twice a day. I really love how it leaves my face feeling soft and clean without irritating or stripping my skin. This has officially earned a spot on my top 5 facial cleansers list. I really like it because it’s so simple, yet effective! If you’re curious about the ingredients you can click here, where you can also learn more about the product.

I have also been testing out the Balancing Rose + Red Tea Facial Toner. Although this particular toner is marketed towards those with combo to oily skin I really like it and would say that it would be suitable for all skin types. It does a fantastic job of keeping my skin balanced and smooth, as well as helping my moisturizer absorb better. I use this in the morning and it seems to soothe any redness I may have and help perfect and balance my skin. I also really love the glass bottle and the fact that it comes with a spray top. This is a very refreshing toner with a gorgeous slightly rosy scent to it.

Next up is the Argan Stem Cell + CFG Cell Stimulating Facial Mask, which both my Mom and I have tried several times. As a beauty blogger I have tried dozens upon dozens of facial masks but have yet to come across a mask like this one. It seems fairly average upon first application, but once the mask is dry and the time has come to rinse off it becomes foamy. I’ve never used a foamy mask and I like it a lot! It’s extremely gentle so even my Mom (who has highly reactive skin) can use it! There is no tight, uncomfortable sensation that goes along with this mask and is instead very refreshing and even a bit cooling. We have both noticed cleaner, brighter, softer, more hydrated skin after using this mask. Like the toner, it also seems to help with any redness.

The final facial product I’ve been playing around with from Acure Organics is their Marula Oil, which can also be included in the hair and body categories as well. I’m a big fan of oils so I was really excited to try this one out. Acure’s Marula Oil is 100% pure, wildcrafted without pesticides, cold pressed and unrefined. It has a slight scent but it is not offensive at all. I’ve been using it a lot since it arrived and I really like it overall. I do have to say that it is not moisturizing enough on its own as facial oil, but I have found that it works extremely well over a moisturizing lotion or cream. I love the results that layering this oil with other products gives me. I love the dropper applicator as well!

That sums up my Acure Organics facial care review. You can check out my thoughts on the body and hair products I’ve been experimenting with by clicking here.

Talk About It - S.W. Basics of Brooklyn (+GIVEAWAY!)

Adina Grigore originally created several products for herself and her sensitive skin but now her line of healthy and eco-friendly products are sold online and at retailers across the country. Each and every one of Adina’s products are 100% pure, natural, and sustainable. S.W. Basics of Brooklyn is a “no-frills” line of skin care products made with 5 or less ingredients each that are either certified organic, Fair Trade, or sourced from small, family farms.

I’ve been testing out a few of their products, including all 4 of their lip balms, lately and have really been enjoying the simplicity of them. The first one being the Makeup Remover, which is made up of Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Olive Oil, and Organic Jojoba Oil. I typically make my own eye makeup remover but it’s really nice having a bottle of it all ready to go. The combination of oils is great! It doesn’t leave behind a film or irritate my eyes. It works really well and gets every last bit of makeup.

I have also been trying out the Toner for the past month and a half. I tend to use this toner during the day because it really helps banish any case of oily skin and prevent pesky pimples. The ingredient list is comprised of Water, Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, Witch Hazel, and Organic Essential Oils of Clary Sage and Sandalwood. I don’t really like the scent of this toner, at all, but it goes away really quickly. It helps to cleanse my skin and help speed up the process of blemishes so it’s totally worth it!

Now let’s talk about their Organic Lip Balms, because they are fantastic! All four balms (Cocoa, Peppermint, Cinnamon, and Citrus) have the same base ingredients of Organic Beeswax, Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil, and Organic Cocoa Butter. The Peppermint, Cinnamon, and Citrus all have added Organic Essential Oils. I’ve been totally obsessed with all 4 of these balms and reach for them more than any other lip product lately. The Cocoa Lip Balm is my favorite, but the others are lovely as well.

You can learn more about the company or purchase some products of your own by clicking here to be taken to their website. You can also visit them on Facebook or Twitter.

Adina was kind enough to offer a Complete Mini Kit as a giveaway prize for you, my lovely readers. All you have to do to enter is use the Rafflecopter form below. It may take a moment or two to load. Good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway

Talk About It - Scientific Organics Spirulina Toner

I have been fortunate enough to try out a few products from EmerginC’s organic line, Scientific Organics, and have loved each and every one of them with a passion. I have been so impressed with this product line and would go as far to say that this is definitely one of my absolute favorite brands. Their products are superb, no joke! I actually have their Phytocell Cream and In Lips We Trust Super Antioxidant Lip Balm on my ultimate beauty wish list!

Today let’s talk about their Spirulina Toner. This toner is extremely gentle and seems to really help balance and nourish my skin. I use it immediately after cleansing in the evening by applying to a cotton pad and gently wiping all over my face. It instantly makes my skin feel a lot softer and more even in texture. It appears to leave my skin looking brighter as well.

It also does a good job of leaving my skin feeling clean and hydrated, unlike some toners that leave behind a film while stripping the skin. While my skin is still damp from the toner I apply my night cream and it seems to really help my skin absorb the moisturizer. My skin is left feeling very balanced!

This toner has a very light scent, that is similar to the other Scientific Organics’ products I’ve used, and I really enjoy it. It is a very clean, fresh, slightly citrus-y scent which is in no way offensive or overpowering. Some of the ingredients that make up this power tonic are Kombucha, Grape Stem Cells, Algae Extract, Spirulina, Green and White Tea, Aloe Vera, and Red Algae but you can find a complete list of ingredients by clicking here

You can learn more about the Spirulina Toner by clicking here. You can click here to learn more about the company and/or purchase their products. They also have a Facebook page you can check out.

Talk About It - Adventuress Vividly Restorative Skin Purifier

My skin has been struggling to stay clear in the past few months but in March I added a new product by Adventuress to my skin care routine that my skin has absolutely been loving. The Vividly Restorative Skin Purifier has made a huge difference in the clarity of my skin and I’m hooked, even though I didn’t like it very much at first.

The reason I didn’t like it very much in the beginning was due to the fact that it didn’t seem to work well with the moisturizer I was using at the time. This serum isn’t moisturizing enough on it’s own for my normal to dry skin so I’ve found that applying it onto a clean face, letting it dry completely, and following up with a facial oil is perfect for me.

When used daily this serum is extremely effective at keeping my pores unclogged and my skin unblemished. If I do get a pimple it seems to go away a lot more quickly with the use of this product. It also seems to help with the tone and brightness of my skin as well. This product also claims to firm the skin, although I can’t say that I’ve noticed my skin becoming any tighter with use.

There is no added fragrance although it does have a very faint, and nonirritating, natural citrus smell that goes away as soon as the serum dries. It retails for $35 and you get 1.0 FL OZ in each bottle. It doesn’t have fancy packaging, by any means, but it gets the job done and the bottle has an airless dispenser, which helps keep contaminants out.

The ingredients are: Water, Willow Bark Extract, Pyrus Cydonia Seed Extract, Witch Hazel, Bilberry Extract, Sugar Cane Extract, Sugar Maple Extract, Orange Fruit Extract, Lemon Extract, Caprylyl Glycol and Phenoxyethanol , Xantham gum, and Olive Leaf Extract.

Talk About It - Sia Botanics Desert Aloe & Jojoba Cream

Sia Botanics is a line of skin care products based on the power of the botanicals found in the Sonoran Desert like Prickly Pear, Aloe, Jojoba, and White Sage. They have formulated 4 different collections with oils and extracts from these plants to benefit all skin types whether you have dry, aging, or oily and blemished skin. All of their products are vegan and cruelty free as well as free from gluten, parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, and synthetic colors or fragrance.

Thanks to Sia Botanics I now have a new favorite facial moisturizer. I seriously love the Desert Aloe and Jojoba Cream. This cream is formulated to nourish and renew dry and dehydrated skin and I feel that it has helped my skin so much this past month. My skin has been incredibly dehydrated and flaky this winter and when I started using this cream in January my skin immediately started to improve.

I feel like this facial cream is very simple yet effective. I use it both day and night and it works well under makeup or on its own. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t leave my face looking greasy or shiny. It doesn’t feel tacky or sticky like some moisturizers for dry skin do. It also doesn’t irritate my skin or leave a buildup behind.

This cream is made up of: Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Jojoba oil, Grapeseed Oil, Emulsifying Wax NF, Palm Stearic Acid, Evening Primrose Oil, Vitamin E, Witch Hazel, Xanthan Gum, Organic Black Willowbark Extract, Mannan, Neem Oil, Rosemary Oil, and Citric Acid. It comes in a 2 oz jar is costs less than $20 so it is very affordable.

Talk About It - Beecology (+GIVEAWAY)

I feel like I haven’t done a skin or hair care review in quite a while so I decided that today was the perfect day to share my thoughts and opinions on the products of Beecology. They sent me quite a few products as well as some extra lip balms, which means that if you read through to the bottom of this post there just might be a little giveaway!

If you know me personally or have been following my blog for a while then you already know of my passion for honey. I think honey is a precious beauty resource so I love anything and everything honey based, which is why I was so intrigued by Beecology and their line of products. Beccology not only produces and sells a line of natural products made with honey, beeswax, and other healthy ingredients; they also give back through their charity, Sweetyear.org.

I first became interested in the company after reading about their Natural Honey and Botanical Sulfate-Free Shampoo and All-Natural Hair Conditioner. While I really like the shampoo, I wasn’t as big a fan of the conditioner.

First of all, the shampoo smells so yummy! It’s slightly sweet, slightly citrus-y, and slightly herbal, which combine to make a delicious smelling shampoo. It’s formula is gentle and effective while providing the hair with brilliant shine and extra softness. The conditioner isn’t necessarily bad, it just has a weird after scent that I don’t like. I think it reacted strangely with my pH (which happens to me a lot). The conditioner seemed to moisturize my hair well enough but I couldn’t get past the smell. My mother loves both products though.

My favorite Beecology product is their Hand and Body Cream, which I got to try in both the Original Honey formula as well as the Cucumber and Green Tea version. Both versions work exactly the same and the formula is so luxurious and rich. It’s a very thick cream that is easily absorbed into the skin leaving it feeling hydrated and healthy, never greasy. This formula is perfect for this time of year! My skin has been a little dry due to the cold weather and this hand and body cream soothes my itchy skin. The original scent is a light, clean scent while the Cucumber and Green Tea version smells very fresh and like real cucumbers.

If your skin is feeling a little dull and needs refreshing then look no further than the Natural Honey and Peppermint Body Wash. This body wash leaves my skin tingling in a good way. It smells great, cleans well, and invigorates the skin with each use. It’s great for morning use and has become one of my favorites!

I was also sent 4 bars of their soap to try out and review, although I have only used 3 of them. The one I haven’t tried is the My Big Fat Greek Yogurt and Honey Soap, which has a juniper scent to it and I’m not a big fan so I’ll be talking about the other 3, which are the Honey Oatmeal Morning Peppermint Soap (perfect for perking up skin), Honey Lavender Soap (which makes the perfect bedtime bar of soap), and the Dead Sea Mud Soap (deep cleansing while moisturizing). All 3 bars of soap have proven to be really effective, are lovely to use, and smell great!

The final Beecology product I got to take for a test drive is their Buzz Balm Peppermint Lip Balm. This balm is made with Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Aloe Butter, Cupuaçu Butter, Olive Oil, Peppermint Oil, Acai Butter, Eucalyptus Oil, Clove Oil, and Tea Tree Oil. It’s hydrating, soothing, and protective. It does smell a bit strong due to the oils but it’s not offensive, only medicinal. I was experiencing very chapped and dehydrated lips before testing this balm and it really helped heal and protect my lips.

I was sent several extra lip balms so 5 of you will get the chance to win a Buzz Balm of your own! Check out the Rafflecopter below to enter to win.

Sweet and Sour Scrub

I absolutely love to exfoliate my skin. It’s my favorite step in taking care of my skin so I love playing around and experimenting with different scrubs. This one features pantry staples including my favorite DIY beauty ingredient, honey, as well as lemon and sugar. It’s super simple and easy to make and use. This scrub comes in handy for people with discolored and uneven skin, dull skin, large pores, or acne.

Any of the aforementioned skin types will benefit from using this scrub, however it’s important to test how your skin reacts to the ingredients, especially since many people have sensitivities to citrus. Lemon juice, as all citrus juice, will make skin sensitive to the sun so be sure to use SPF if you do this during the day; however, I recommend using facial scrubs like this before going to bed so your skin has time to regenerate.

Mix the ingredients together in a bowl and apply to your freshly cleansed face. Massage the mixture gently into your skin for several (2-3) minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Be sure to avoid the delicate eye area. Make sure to follow up with your favorite serum or moisturizer.

Talk About It - Sage Stone Botanicals

When I was contacted by Alyson of Sage Stone Botanicals to test her products and possibly review them I became very excited for a number of different reasons. Sage Stone Botanicals is a small company based out of Eugene, Oregon (one of my favorite cities that I visit often!) that began as a hobby and is now a full-fledged business. Using only natural ingredients, Alyson has created a line of products that includes hand crèmes, liquid hand soap, bath and shower gel, lotion, lip balm and even bug spray and citronella lotion.

Alyson was so generous and sent me several different products to try, all of which I really like! She sent me a few different 2 oz lotions in Unscented, Jasmine, and Milk and Honey. Sage Stone’s lotion is formulated with Certified Organic ingredients such as Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Almond Oil, Shea Butter, and Cocoa Butter, to name a few. The formula is smooth, non-greasy, quick to absorb, and hydrating. The scents are lovely, clean, and fresh. You know how much I love my unscented lotions but I also really love the scent of the Milk and Honey. The Jasmine is also really nice. My Mom stole it since she loves florals and this one smells exactly like its namesake!

The next product I really need to share with you is the Citronella Lotion. I was a bit skeptical about it but this stuff is seriously amazing! My family and I went to a mosquito-infested area for a picnic (sounds nice, right?) and ended up with no bites after slathering our skin with this lotion. My Dad is almost always outdoors and he usually gets eaten alive by mosquitoes but his insect problem is no longer an issue thanks to this lotion. He absolutely loves it and he’s pretty picky about what he’ll use on his skin. I also want to mention that this doesn’t smell bad. It smells like citronella, but it’s not gross or heavy. This product is now a must have in my home.

The final product I got to try is the Lavender Bath and Shower Gel, which is made of Distilled Water, Certified Organic Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, and Jojoba Oil as well as Lavender Essential Oil and Potassium Hydroxide. The scent is lovely since it’s a real lavender fragrance and the formula is moisturizing. It gets quite a bit of lather, which I love, and it does a wonderful job of cleansing skin without stripping it.

Check out Sage Stone Botanicals online to learn more about their products, find where you can purchase products if you’re also in Oregon, or purchase online.

Talk About It - Tatcha

As a beauty blogger, I get to try a lot of products that I never would have otherwise. I don’t necessarily believe that a product has to cost a lot of money to work but I do get really excited when I get to test out a luxury product that I would never splurge on for myself. Being ill like I am means I have limited funds so dropping $150 on a brightening serum is out of the question, but I truly believe in investing in the health of you skin so if you have some extra money lying around, I highly recommend checking out Tatcha and their line of fabulous products.

Tatcha is a Japanese skin care company with products created after discovering a 200-year-old manuscript detailing the daily routines of geishas. “Having heard that many of the world’s greatest beauty secrets originated with geisha, we explored scientific journals, unearthed historical archives and studied the ageless beauty rituals of the iconic geisha to shed light on a highly evolved approach to beauty.”

Using ingredients like green tea, Okinawa red algae, and rice bran, Tatcha has formulated several products that the geishas of old would be proud to use. In addition to being made with time tested and healthy ingredients all Tatcha products are free of mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, PEGs, PPGs, urea, DEA, TEA or phthalates.

I have been using several of Tatcha’s products for a little over a month now and I cannot even begin to express how much I love this line. I even got my Mom hooked – she purchased a jar of the Classic Rice Enzyme Powder the day after trying out one of my samples. My skin has looked and felt so amazing, I can’t even explain! My skin looks radiant, even, clear, and healthier than ever before. My pores are somehow almost non-existent now!

The company so kindly sent me The Tatcha Sampler Set and a full sized bottle of their Deep Brightening Serum. The Tatcha Sampler Set comes with 6 trial-sized essentials (including 3 packets of each POLISHED Rice Enzyme Powder for a total of 9, 0.5oz PURE Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil, 0.5oz RADIANT Deep Brightening Serum, and a 0.3oz SUPPLE Moisture Rich Silk Cream) and a full sized pack of Original Japanese Beauty Papers.

The Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil is the first step in the Ritual. It’s a very light cleansing oil that I only use when I have makeup on since it removes makeup so easily. It’s extremely hydrating and nourishing and cleanses without making skin feel tight, dry, or uncomfortable.

Next up is the exfoliating step. The Rice Enzyme Powders can be also be used as a daily cleanser if you’re not wearing any makeup. This comes in 3 different formulations, Gentle, Classic, and Deep. It is a powder that turns into a cream once water is added. I love the Classic variety but I would have to say that the Gentle is my favorite. My skin cannot tolerate the Deep version. This product leaves skin feeling clean and super soft.

My favorite product from Tatcha is their Deep Brightening Serum. I use this every night, and most days. One pump is enough to cover my entire face. I look forward to applying this serum and have noticed a change in my skin already! Like I mentioned above, this serum retails for $150 but I’m not kidding when I say it is completely worth it. It feels incredibly light on the skin but also hydrates. It’s ingredients list is comprised of Squalane, Rice Germ Oil, Rice Extract, Silk Protein, Algae Extract, Licorice Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Zizyphus Jujuba Fruit Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin (Soy Derivative), and Green Tea Leaf Extract. This is one of my new Holy Grail products!

I always follow the serum with Tatcha’s Moisture Rich Silk Cream, which is a great moisturizing cream for all skin types. It provides heavy moisture while sinking into the skin quickly. It continues to hydrate the skin all day or night and makes skin feel silky while doing it. It works alone or under makeup. A little of this cream goes a very long way.

The final Tatcha product I got to take for a test drive is their Original Aburatorigami beauty papers. These are all-natural, powder and fragrance free leaflets that absorb excess oil without ruining your makeup. I have been using blotting papers since I was 13 but I have never experienced any like these. Tatcha’s Original Aburatorigami papers have two ingredients - 100% abaca leaf and gold flake. Gold flake! How cool is that? These absorb more oil than any other blotting sheet I have ever tried and leave my skin looking fresh!

I’m so in love with all of these products and have nothing negative to say other than the fact that my skin can’t handle the Deep Rice Enzyme Powder. Other than that, this line is a real winner and I can’t recommend it more whole-heartedly. The company also has outstanding customer service and simply elegant packaging. To learn about the company, products, or to shop visit Tatcha online or on Facebook.

Talk About It - Zinn Beauty Collection

To say that Argan Oil is anything less than amazing would be utterly wrong since I have a total and complete obsession with this skin miracle. Argan Oil comes from a tree that can only be found in Morocco and is often referred to as “liquid gold”. It is rich in vital antioxidants and has twice as much Vitamin E as olive oil so it is a wonderful skin care solution. It helps heal skin conditions, moisturize and balance dry and oily complexions, slow down the aging process, and can be used from head to toe.

Argan Oil has been used by Moroccan men and women for centuries but is now accessible worldwide. Zinn Beauty has created an affordable line of Argan infused products. I got to try out the entire Zinn Beauty Collection and have really enjoyed using the line which includes a facial cleanser and cream, body milk, and 100% Moroccan Argan Oil. All Zinn products are formulated without preservatives, artificial colors, sulfates, animal extracts, and parabens. In addition to leaving toxic ingredients out of their products they are cruelty free. Zinn Argan Oil is hand made in Morocco and is certified pure and organic.

The Velvet Cleansing Milk is a great moisturizing cleanser with ingredients like Sunflower Seed oil, Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Beeswax and Tea Tree Oil, just to name a few. All Zinn products have been formulated to work for all skin types but I’m not sure I would like it if I had oily skin. It is very rich and hydrating so I like using this at night. It actually feels a bit heavy on the skin but not in a greasy sense and it does not clog my pores. It makes my skin really clean without stripping it. It leaves my skin looking glowing and dewy. I like this cleanser a lot now but I think I’ll love it once winter hits and my skin needs some TLC. It smells a bit earthy because of the tea tree and also a bit like oranges. Overall it’s a really nice cleanser that anyone with normal to dry skin will enjoy!

Zinn’s Revitalizing Ant-Aging Cream is not my favorite. It feels really great on the skin but the scent is a little bit too strong for me and it lingers so I can’t use it (you know how sensitive I am to smells). It is rich but not heavy so you can use it day and night. It works under makeup or on it’s own. My Mom likes this cream so she has been using it. I think I would have liked using this if not for the strong scent.

The Smooth Body Milk is absolutely fantastic! To start with, this lotion smells really great (sort of like Flinstones Vitamins – which is a good thing in my opinion.)! It is a milky cream that absorbs quickly and easily leaving skin feeling soft and hydrated. It is not greasy in the slightest bit and has a matte finish. It doesn’t feel heavy so it is perfect for all over use. The moisture this lotion imparts is long lasting and incredibly soothing. It is packed full of essential oils, antioxidants, fatty acids and Vitamin E so its healthy and nourishing. You won’t believe how soft your skin feels after using this Body Milk! My whole family loves this and since it comes in a large, 6.8 FL OZ, tube it will last for quite some time.

The Zinn Collection is definitely worth checking out. If you’re interested in learning more about the company or the products mentioned you can visit them online by clicking here. In addition to being able to purchase online, you can find these products at ULTA, Duane Reade and Ricky's. Tomorrow I’ll be discussing the benefits and uses of Argan Oil as well as reviewing the Zinn 100% Moroccan Argan Oil so I will see you then!

Talk About It - Exhale Skin Care

You, my beautiful readers, know how much I love skin care. I am always switching up my skin care routine so I can try new products to share my thoughts with you. For a little over a month now I have been using a set of products that were created by a team of chemists, biologists and dermatologists with a passion for health and wellness from all over the world. These scientists have developed 3 products, which have been created using only natural and wholesome ingredients that are safe for all skin types and haven’t been tested on animals.

My favorite product from Exhale is their Natural Gentle Cleanser. I absolutely love this cleanser! As the name suggests it is very gentle. It has 6 simple ingredients (Purified Water, Sodium Olivate, Glycerin, Rose Hip Seed Oil, Eiobotrya Japonica Extract and Seaweed Extract) and is extremely gentle, as the name suggests. It smells lovely and makes the skin feel really clean without being squeaky clean (which is not a good thing!) or tight. After rinsing off, the skin feels soft, hydrated, and balanced. It’s also brightening and helps promote cell regeneration.

My next most used Exhale product is the Apple Stem Cell Cloud Cream. It’s a nice daily moisturizer with ingredients like Jojoba Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture, and Hyaluronic Acid just to name a few. I really like using this moisturizer during the day and under makeup although I prefer a heavier cream for nighttime use. It is an off-white gel-cream consistency that doesn’t really have a smell. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. It plumps up my skin and lends it a really nice glow. The Apple Stem Cell Cloud Cream feels very light on the skin and absorbs quickly.

The final product is their Organic Sun Protection SPF 30 (which features ingredients like Aloe Leaf Extract, Green Tea Extract, Sunflower Oil, Castor Oil, and White Birch Oil in addition to others). Titanium Dioxide is what gives the creams its SPF 30. I would have preferred Zinc Oxide but this cream gets the job done. While it’s not my favorite product of the bunch, it does have good qualities - It’s hydrating and it also works really well as a primer under makeup so it acts as a 3 in 1. It is a very thick pinkish cream that takes a little work to spread across the skin. It also takes a few minutes for the skin to absorb but once it does it protects the skin by creating a barrier. I took this to Phoenix with me and I didn’t get a burn whatsoever (on my face or neck anyway).

Overall I really enjoy this line of products and recommend that you check them out, especially the cleanser! If you are interested in purchasing any of the products mentioned or learning more about the company their products you can visit their website or Facebook page.

Body Mask

It is finally getting warm here, which means it is time for shorts, swimsuits, and tank tops. After a winter of being covered up it is time to get my skin ready to see the sun! This moisturizing mask is perfect for hydrating and rejuvenating dry skin all over the body. It also feels great after getting sunburned.

What you need:
1 ripe avocado
2 tablespoons of plain yogurt (Greek or full fat works even better!)
1 tablespoon of cocoa butter
1 teaspoon of baking soda

Mix all of the ingredients together by either mashing them with a fork or pureeing them in a blender or food processor. Apply this mask to your legs, arms, back, chest, and/or anywhere else you need a little TLC. You can apply this on your face as well but it may be too heavy for many skin types because of the cocoa butter. I always recommend doing treatments like this in the bathtub since they can be messy. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes before rinsing.

Once you are finished, your skin should feel like new! Enjoy your silky smooth skin!

Talk About It - Bayberry Naturals

A few weeks ago, I asked those of you who are fans of my Facebook page what type of product you are most picky about. At that time I shared that I am rarely satisfied with shampoo but I forgot to mention my search for the perfect daily body lotion. I have the hardest time finding a good lotion and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I hate that greasy, heavy feeling that some lotions give the skin but I also can’t stand super thin and watery formulas either. There is a middle ground that very few companies have mastered but Bayberry Naturals is one of them.

My quest for the perfect body lotion ended when I tried Bayberry Naturals' Sensitive Skin Hand & Body Lotion. I've been using this lotion on my entire body every single day since it arrived. I apply it right after I get out of the shower while my skin is still slightly moist and my skin has never been softer. This is a very long lasting moisturizer that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or my even more sensitive sense of smell. I wake up the next morning with skin that still feels soft and hydrated. I tend to have some flakes on my legs but they have been MIA since using this.

Like all Bayberry Naturals products it is sulfate, paraben, phthalate, artificial fragrance and dye free as well as cruelty free. The formula is comprised of organic aloe, organic coconut oil, kosher vegetable glycerin, grapeseed oil, roman chamomile essential oil, as well as a few other ingredients. It is 89% organic and 100% vegan. The lotion is packaged in a simple 8.7 fl oz bottle.

In addition to the Sensitive Skin Hand & Body Lotion, I have also really been enjoying their Shea Buttercream which is an incredibly rich and nourishing cream. It is literally the consistency of a thick buttercream frosting and it is to die for! It is made up of over 20% Organic Shea Butter so it is extremely emollient and perfect for extra dry skin. It helps soothe any itchiness, dryness or irritation. I use it on my hands and feet before going to bed every night and I have even used it on my face. When used on my face it really helped battle the dehydration my skin was experiencing.

This particular Buttercream does not contain any essential oils so those of us with the most sensitive skin can use it without any worry although it can be used on any skin type. It is 70% organic and 100% vegan. Some of its ingredients are organic aloe, organic shea butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin E, meadowfoam seed oil, and neem oil. It comes in a jar with 2 oz of product. A little goes a very long way.

The final product I have been using from Bayberry Naturals is their Peppermint Bar Soap. This bar soap is made using organic oils, essential oils, organic wheat grass, organic barley grass, organic alfalfa, organic parsley, and rosemary extract. It is a truly unique peppermint bar soap. It smells fresh and clean. It is very gentle and doesn't dry out the skin while cleansing it.

I was so kindly sent these 3 truly phenomenal products from Bayberry Naturals and I am so excited that I was able to share them with you. I love the products I tried and I can only imagine how great the rest of their products are. To learn more about the company or purchase the products mentioned above you can visit their website.

Talk About It - BeeAlive Spa Essentials

I feel like this can go without saying, since I have said it an innumerable amount of times in past blog posts, but I love anything and everything made with honey and other bee ingredients. BeeAlive is a family-owned business located in Valley Cottage, New York that specializes in premium products like Royal Jelly and dietary supplements. This past spring, the company launched a new all-natural and handcrafted skin care line called BeeAlive Spa Essentials which is comprised of a cleanser and 2 crèmes that I will be reviewing for you today.

Their Foaming Honey Cleanser is the perfect daily facial cleanser. It's gentle yet effective enough to thoroughly cleanse all skin types. It is very hydrating and nourishing although it doesn't leave skin feeling heavy or oily. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight either. It even leaves my skin looking brighter and more radiant. It comes in a 6 fl oz bottle with a pump so it is easy to use twice daily. All it takes is one pump to create enough foam to clean the entire face and neck. Its ingredient list is comprised of only 8 ingredients - aloe leaf juice, distilled water, honey, cocamidopropyl betaine (which is derived from coconut), aloe leaf extract, apple cider vinegar, lavender oil, geranium oil, and green tea leaf extract. The only thing I don't like about this cleanser is the scent of geranium. For whatever reason I hate the smell of geranium in any product, but since it also has lavender it is tolerable.

The first of the 2 crèmes is the Delicate Royal Jelly Crème. This formula was created for normal to oily skin. It was also designed to counteract the visible signs of aging. It is lighter than the other formulation, which I'll get to next, so it is perfect for daytime use and it works wonderfully under a full face of makeup. It provides a very light level of moisture but most days it is plenty. This crème includes ingredients like aloe leaf juice, lavender flower distillate, sunflower seed oil (that has been infused with calendula, chamomile, oat straw, nettle and raspberry leaf), apricot kernel oil, royal jelly, beeswax, propolis, honey, elderberry and other skin beneficial ingredients. There are some days though when my skin is a little dehydrated and needs a heavier crème to combat the dryness which is where their other moisturizer comes into play.

For normal to dry skin the Enriching Royal Jelly Crème will be the perfect match. It also works well as a nighttime crème which is my favorite use for this formula. This creme is very rich and provides the skin with an intense level of hydration without being too thick or sticky feeling. This is my favorite out of the 2 because I prefer heavier formulas. This is a lovely creme and will delight even the driest skin out there. I even occasionally use this in addition to the Delicate version on my really dry patches and they work nicely together. This formulation includes many of the same ingredients at the Delicate Royal Jelly Crème but also features shea oil, rhodiola and rose hip extract. Both come in a very nice glass bottle.

Talk About It - April Goodebox

I received the April Goodebox I told you I won from their Facebook page on Friday and it's everything I could have hoped for. Some monthly delivery boxes can let you down in some way but I've been fortunate enough to receive 2 boxes and both blew my mind, in a good way!

If you missed my review of the March Goodebox or need a refresher course let's cover the basics really quickly - for only $16 a month you will receive 6 or more trial sized healthy and natural beauty products shipped directly to your door (or mailbox) around the 15th or 20th of each month! In addition to receiving products to test out, members of Goodebox also receive exclusive discounts and the chance to win free full sized products.

Some monthly boxes are generic and filled with one size fits all products but Goodebox decided to tailor boxes to each members specific needs and concerns. When you sign up you get to fill out a profile detailing your favorite shades of makeup, skin type and tone, and your concerns in addition to several other topics like whether you're a vegan or not. Never again, for example, will you receive a cleanser for oily skin when your have dry skin.

When you're a beauty blogger finding new and exciting brands and products can prove to be difficult, especially in the natural sector, but this month I received products I had never tried before from a few companies I had never heard of. Once again Goodebox did not disappoint.

Let's get to the contents of my box, shall we?

I received two 0.17 oz of Weleda Iris Day Cream and Iris Night Cream. I have both heard of and tried Weleda products before but never these two. They do smell quite strong (which is a problem I have with a lot of Weleda's offerings) but they do smell nice.

Next was the cutest little travel size of True Natural Sunscreen Active Sunscreen SPF 40. I was so excited to get this in my box! I'm sun sensitive so I like to keep sunscreen on hand at all times and this is the perfect purse-sized tube. I haven't tried it yet but I love natural sunscreen so I'm sure I'll love this one!

I love lip products so I was happy to see a full sized Devine Lip Shimmer in the box. I received Champagne and absolutely love it. I have a full review of Devine Lip Shimmers coming in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for that.

I had never heard of Linda Kammins before but I received 3 of her products to test out. The first is her Lavender Daily Shine Shampoo which is a concentrated shampoo so they also included a separate bottle to mix it with water in. Also in the box was her Peppermint Daily Shine Rinse, which smells SO good! The final Linda Kammins product is her Tea Tonic Rinse, a sachet of tea with a bottle to mix in.

The last product in my April Goodebox was a body butter from Get Creamed Body in their Pink Citrus Paradise scent. I'm in love with this body cream. I'm super scentsitive but this smells fantastic. It's a light, fresh, pink grapefruit scent that is not too overpowering or overwhelming. It's also incredibly luscious and hydrating. It makes my skin feel so silky soft and healthy that I'm planning on ordering myself a tub.

8 great products to try for only $16? I'm all for Goodebox and can't wait to sign up for more. Unfortunately I missed the deadline to receive the May box but if you're interested in signing up for the June box you need to do so before May 30th. Let me know if you sign up too!

Creamy Berry Facial

Strawberries are superheroes when it comes to nourishing skin and fighting acne. They also happen to be one of my favorite fruits (actually, one of my favorite foods in general!). I took my first steps for a ripe, red strawberry and now in addition to eating them regularly, I use them to supplement my skin care routine. Strawberries are in season and perfect for the picking right now so it’s a terrific time to share a berry great facial mask.

Since strawberries have a natural type of salicylic acid in them they are perfect for those of you with oily or acne prone skin, but they’re also beneficial for normal skin. They help soften, exfoliate, and brighten the skin. You can use them on their own or you can mix up a batch of the following facial mask:

What you need:
½ cup of fresh strawberries (this is around 3-5 berries)
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt (I like Greek yogurt for my skin)
2 teaspoons of honey

You can either use a blender to mix the ingredients with a fork to mash them. You should end up with a consistency similar to a smoothie. Apply on your clean face and let your skin soak up the nutrients for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Going Bananas

Bananas are staples in most homes, and my family members could be considered connoisseurs of the healthful, yellow fruit since we go through bunches of bananas. I love to eat bananas and never feel guilty about doing so because they are packed full of potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, calcium, and tons of vitamins. Since they are so good for your insides, I decided to do a little research and discovered that they are really good for your outsides as well.

If you want to keep it simple, just mash up half of a banana until smooth and apply the mush directly to your cleansed face. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing off. When it’s time to rinse your skin will feel a bit tight. Bananas are really soothing and good for irritated or inflamed skin. Using a banana on your face will help soften, smooth, and refresh.

You can use the other half of the banana as a conditioning treatment for your hair.

If you have some left over from your facial, apply a generous amount to your under eye area and let sit for 20 minutes. The high potassium content in the super fruit will help get rid of dark circle, puffiness, and fine lines.

Wait - Don’t toss the peel just yet! Despite the fact that it sounds a bit gross and the peel feels really slimy and weird rubbing the inside of banana peel directly on your skin will also make the skin feel really soft and hydrated. Doing this often has also been known to reduce acne. I think this would be perfect for sunburned skin as well since it’s so cooling and soothing.

Let me know how you feel about using bananas for beauty and if you have any other banana beauty tips!

Talk About It - Scientific Organics Kombucha Cleanser

Some people love to dine out and experiment with new cuisine, others like to shop and try on the latest trends, and some like to rearrange the furniture and décor in their home to test the flow of things. Everyone likes to try new things, and I am no exception. I love to try new facial products, cleansers especially, and share my thoughts with you.

If you didn’t already guess, today’s Talk About It is all about a cleanser by emerginC (a leading professional cosmeceutical skincare line) from their Scientific Organics line of products. Scientific Organics is a new line of natural, paraben, petro-chemical and synthetic free skincare products. Each item is at least 70% Organic and designed to give some serious results.

The Kombucha Cleanser has an all-star lineup of great ingredients like Kombucha (fermented tea known for its medicinal properties), Grape Stem Cells, Algae extract, Glycerin, Palmaria Palmate, Spirulina, Green tea, White tea, Aloe Vera and Maritime Pine Bark extract. All of these ingredients combine to make a great, gentle cleanser that brightens and revives.

I really liked the cleanser. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive, irritable skin and it leaves a nice clean feeling behind. It doesn’t smell at all. I’ve noticed a big difference in the clarity and tone of my skin; my skin is so soft and smooth after using this. It’s so gentle which is perfect for me (especially since it’s winter) and a little goes a long way. It’s refreshing, hydrating, and all around lovely.

The thing I love most about the product is that with every Scientific Organics purchase, emerginC plants a tree using Plant-It 2020. Plant-It 2020 is such an awesome non-profit foundation that you should check out at www.plantit2020.org.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Scientific Organics line you can visit www.emerginc.com or feel free to leave a comment asking any questions you may have.

Talk About It - Painted Earth (Part 1: Skin Care)

The topic of Today’s Talk About It is Painted Earth Skin Care and I’m so in love with this company and their products that I’m going to make this is a special with two parts. Today is going to feature Painted Earths skin care products and part 2 will be posted on Thursday with my thoughts on their cosmetics. I absolutely adore everything I was so fortunate to try from this company. I’m going to be broken hearted when I run out of them, and I look forward to trying more of their products in the future.

Painted Earth offers a very wide array of high quality and innovative skin care and cosmetics that are made with natural and organic ingredients. Their products are made in the United States in an FDA registered lab. They use only the best ingredients that are completely safe and they never tested on animals. That alone is great, but their products really speak for themselves.

Like I said, I love each and every product I tried but I would have to say my most favorite is Fresh New Eyes. This is a light, non-greasy, clear, fragrance-free gel that I have been using on my under-eye area twice a day. I have seen such a difference in my usually very dry under eyes. My dark circles have improved as well as the puffiness that usually accompanies them. I’m only 24 so I don’t have wrinkles yet but I do have fine lines around my eyes and I feel like this plumps them up so they’re not noticeable. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or cause those small, irritating bumps (Milia) that some eye creams can do. It even works well under makeup and doesn’t cause foundation or concealer to crease. This is one of my favorite beauty products ever and I would dare go as far to say that it’s perfect, at least for me.

Fresh New Eyes is 99% natural and 72% organic. It comes in a .5 oz tube and a little goes a long way. I’ve been using it twice daily for nearly 2 months now and it is still half full. It has some really great ingredients like aloe and fruit extracts like kiwi, grape, strawberry, as well as a lot of other beneficial ingredients.

I also got to experience the joys of the Blueberry Cranberry scrub, which is one of the scrubs I use each and every week. This scrub is 98% natural and 72% organic. It makes my skin look incredible and it feels even better than it looks. It’s deeply cleansing and exfoliating while still being gentle enough to not irritate my skin in the slightest bit. It’s got an all-star ingredient list featuring blueberries, cranberries, rhubarb, pomegranate, dandelion, aloe, jojoba beads, hibiscus buds and olive. It decongests pores, softens, rejuvenates, and provides the skin with the nutrients it needs and desires. This scrub is more than amazing, and I couldn't be happier with it!

Next up is a product that I was initially a bit nervous to use because of its warning label stating not to use on sensitive skin but I finally broke down and tried it. The product I’m talking about is a facial mask that has been added to my weekly skin care routine because of its ability to keep my skin clear and bust breakouts in their tracks. Painted Earths Pumpkin Masque is a superstar. It’s got a lot of great things in it like pumpkin, bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange and lemon extract, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger rosemary and neem oil. It smells just like pumpkin puree. It tingles and is a bit uncomfortable upon first application but settles down. I do this mask once a week, or if I feel a breakout coming on. I apply a thin layer on clean skin and let it sit for 5 minutes before washing off. I owe this mask a lot because it keeps my skin looking clear and smooth as well as luminous and bright. People have been complimenting my skin and asking me what I am using.

Speaking of pimples, lets move on to Boo Boo Gel which is an ointment made with essential oils that helps ail many different things like blemishes, bug bites, cuts, sores, sunburns, razor burn, large pores, bruises and whatever else might be bothering you. This is a gel like product that my family and I have been using for everything since we got it. It’s an inflammatory and antibacterial that really helps clear up everything that I mentioned. It’s my go-to for bug bites (I’m allergic to mosquito bites, so this really saved me a few times) and pimples. It’s great, cooling, and smells good!

Lastly is Another One Bites the Dust, an anti-aging moisturizer. This cream smells delicious to me and hydrates so well. I feel like it really helps skin look and feel more firm and elastic as well as more even and bright. I had a couple of dry patches on the sides of my nose from a cold and this helped soothe and moisture them so they were gone in no time. I really like this for every day use. It makes my face so smooth and silky!

I hope you can tell how passionate I am about Painted Earth and their wonderful products. On Thursday I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the makeup items I got to try with you (I love all of them too!). If you’re interested in checking out their website or their products you can find them online. To read my review of Painted Earth's Cosmetics please click here

Talk About It - La Isha Orange-Coconut Skin Polish

You beauties know how much I enjoy a good facial scrub. Nothing means clear, clean skin more than a good exfoliation session to me. I have a very set skin care routine, meaning that I wash my face twice a day, do a scrub twice a week, and a facial mask once a week. Today I’m going to introduce you to one of the scrubs that I use– La Isha’s Orange-Coconut Skin Polish.

La Isha is the type of company I love– a company with a touching and powerful story behind it. Sharon Gnatt Epel began the company after a very scary and potentially devastating experience in her teenage sons life occurred.

In June of 2005, her son got to travel to Costa Rica to take part in a summer Rainforest Program, unfortunately his trip was cut short when illegal, and toxic, chemicals from a nearby plantation made their way into the river after a heavy rainfall. Her son waded into the water and his hands and knees came into contact with these chemicals.

Within hours of exposure small blisters began to form on his skin, and continued to grow until he was taken to the hospital. Aaron was diagnosed with second-degree burns and sent back to America, where Sharons friend who also happened to be a doctor, told her that he suspected it was chemical burns. He suggested that they treat his burns with medical-grade essential oils as opposed to typical burn treatment, which would have left his hands scarred for life.

They only used essential oils on Aaron’s hands and nothing else. His hands are now better and are totally clear of any scarring or discoloration. The improvement she saw in his hands led Sharon to learn more about essential oils, wondering what they could do for people with wrinkles, age spots or even sun damage which in turn led to the creation of La Isha, the only natural anti-aging skin care line developed exclusively for women “who refuse to be defined by their age”.

I love their story and I love what their products stand for. La Isha products are formulated with only pure, essential oils of the highest quality and are 100% natural. All of their products are vegan and PETA certified as well as gluten free. The products they offer are highly effective and pure. They offer a holistic approach to beauty.

The Orange-Coconut Skin Polish is wonderful because it can be used on your face, body, lips, and even under your eyes. It smells like something I want to eat by the spoonful and it leaves my skin superbly smooth and supple. This scrub is a sugar-based exfoliant with medical grade essential oils as well as neem oil, rosemary, vitamin E, coconut oil, and pomegranate.

I think sugar based scrubs are my favorite because the sugar granules melt which helps me not over-exfoliate (which is highly probable). Using this is the perfect way to keep my healthy glow. It hydrates, de-flakes, and plumps up my skin for a smoother look. I love using it on my lips too because it leaves them looking great. It takes just a small scoop massaged over damp skin to get the effect that is desired.

It's a bit on the pricey side at $50 for 4 oz. but the smell is uplifting and the product works really hard to make your skin looks it's best. You can find more information about La Isha and browse their products at http://www.la-isha.com/

Talk About It - Honey Girl Organics

Happy Talk About It Tuesday! I hope all of you beauties are doing well on this fine summer day!

I’ve been day dreaming a lot lately about a trip that I’m planning for next June. I’m really excited about this trip because it will be my first time on the lovely islands that make up Hawaii. I can’t wait to sit on the beach and drink a virgin pina colada while digging my toes into the sand. Since it’s still a year away I needed something to add into my daily routine that reminded me of what is to come on my Island getaway, which is where today’s products come into the picture.

Honey Girl Organics (www.honeygirlorganics.com) is a company that is based in Haleiwa, Hawaii. They have a wide selection of natural and organic beauty products which are filled with the best ingredients they can find, with no chemicals or artificial preservatives. Each and every product they create and sell is made with only edible ingredients because they believe that you should only put on your body what you would be willing to put into your body and I couldn’t agree with them more.

One of the founders of the company kept bees as a hobby which led him to create crèmes using honey and beeswax for his wife. Honey Girl Organics uses honey, beeswax, pollen and propolis in their products and combines the beehive ingredients with olive oil. Bee ingredients are great antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, collagen stimulators, as well natural humectants and emollients that provide the skin with the vitamins and minerals it needs. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids. Mix these two types of ingredients together and what you get is skincare gold.

First and foremost – the packaging is so gorgeous and of such high quality! I’m stunned by the beautiful jars they come in. Okay, let’s start dishing about the actual products now.

I’m going to talk about the most interesting product I have ever tried first. I use the word interesting because I’m at an absolute loss of words when it comes to describing the facial scrub. I have never used anything that is even a little bit similar to this product. It’s absolutely fantastic! It smells wonderful and it leaves my skin feeling unbelievably soft and smooth. I was actually giddy after the first time I used this scrub because it’s so unique and incredible. It has only 8 ingredients including aloe, coconut butter, cane sugar, honey, diatomaceous earth, papaya and pineapple enzymes and essential oil – all of which are organic.

It has a thick, granular consistency that you massage onto a slightly damp face. You can add more water to adjust the level of exfoliation you desire. Massage in small circles all over face, but be sure to avoid the eye and mouth area since they are more delicate and sensitive. Rinse with lukewarm water, and use a washcloth to remove the extra scrub that may be remaining.

I can’t even describe how much face feels when I’m done. It feels softer and more silky than ever, and that’s not an over exaggeration. You have to try it for yourself because I wasn’t kidding when I said I was at a loss for words. You’ll just have to take my word when I say it’s incredible. I use this 1-2 times a week depending on my exfoliation needs.

After I’m done exfoliating I apply the Extra Sensitive Face and Eye Crème. They have a regular version as well, but I always gravitate towards sensitive formulations. This crème is great because it allows you to combine two steps into one. I’ve never really understood why many companies sell separate face crèmes and an eye crème, so it’s awesome that Honey Girl Organics has made a product that it both an eye and a face crème in one. This product has an all-star ingredient list including extra virgin olive oil, Hawaiian purified water, beeswax, raw pupukea wildflower honey, bee pollen, propolis, royal jelly and d-alpha vitamin E.

This product really makes my skin feel hydrated and healthy without feeling heavy or greasy. I also feel like it plumps up my skin and make it look more youthful. I am only 24 but I’m starting to see myself aging and developing some very fine lines around my eyes so I feel like this is really helping my skin look younger. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all and I’m really enjoying it. I think it’s so luxurious! Oh, and a little bit goes a very long way!

I forgot to mention above that all of their products are cruelty-free and noncomedogenic, and their customer service is top notch. These products would suit just about anyone and everyone. I love them, especially the facial scrub if you couldn’t tell by my rambling! Go check them out today because I know you’ll really enjoy them as well! See you tomorrow!

FTC: Honey Girl Organics sent me these products free of charge to test and possibly review. I am not being compensated to write this review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Talk About It Tuesday - Goddess Garden

Every year my family and I spend the 4th of July at a big, gorgeous small town park where a classic car show is held in our area. I can honestly say that every year my skin, as well as the skin of my family, turns a not so pleasant shade of red. Sunburns are anything but fun, which is why I’m so excited about todays Talk About It Tuesday featuring Goddess Garden sunscreen.

Goddess Garden makes chemical free sunscreen for the whole family that is 82% organic. It is effective, non-greasy, great smelling (or unscented!), vegan, gluten free, non-comedogenic, paraben free, and is biodegradable as well as reef-safe. It protects skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays and acts as a physical block against them. It’s not heavy or sticky feeling at all, which is the number one thing I look for in an SPF. One of the coolest things about their products, in my opinion, is that they start working to prevent skin damaging rays immediately as apposed to the half an hour traditional sunscreens can take.

I have been using both the baby and the kids formulas which are equally amazing for me and my family. The baby formula is perfect for sensitive skin and noses (like I have) because it’s completely fragrance free. There is absolutely no odor whatsoever and I’m very happy about that. I absolutely hate the smell of chemical sunscreen so this is a perfect product for me. The kids version has a nice, light lavender scent which both of my parents enjoy. I even like the smell and I’m highly sensitive to fragrance. Their website says that the only difference between the kid and adult variations is the scent; it’s lighter in the kid version.

Instead of bad for you chemicals, Goddess Garden uses high quality natural ingredients like shea butter, aloe, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, as well as lavender. My skin loves all of these ingredients and has not been irritated in the least bit by any of them which is a must for me. My fair skinned Mom and I both used it on a day we spent swimming and it seemed to be very water resistant and lasted through the splashing and playing in the water. It only comes off with soap and warm water in the shower, which is exactly what any good sunscreen should do.

Goddess Garden packages their formulas in either a spray bottle or in a tube. I have tried both. The lotion is wonderful and probably my favorite method of applying my sunscreen but the spray version is nice as well. It’s not a fine mist though so you have to spray and rub for the best results, which doesn’t bother me much. It is faster and great for on the go. I tend to get sunburned on the tops of my feet so the spray is a great way to reapply.

They even have really amazing UV bracelets that change colors to let you know how strong the suns UV Rays are. Not only are they a very clever idea and a great way to teach kids about the importance of applying sunscreen but they are also adorable! They have cute little ladybugs on them.

I’ve been testing this out for about a month now and I have not had one sunburn, which is a miracle since I spend so much time outdoors in the warmer months. I’m very scared of skin cancer and wrinkles so I make sure to slather my body daily with SPF. I also have a medical condition that makes me extremely sensitive to the suns rays, which I'm going to talk more about in an upcoming post. I have fallen so in love with Goddess Garden sunscreen products and I think they’re stuck with me as a customer from now on.

You can purchase Goddess Garden products online or you can check the locator on their website to find a store selling them near you. Go check them out at http://www.goddessgarden.com/default.aspx or friend them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/#!/goddessgarden because I just know that you’ll love their products as much as I do. My Dad (who was a surfer in Southern California and never wore sunscreen growing up) even loves it and has been wearing it everyday. I hope you found this review helpful. I highly recommend this product! Let me know what you think it you try it. See you tomorrow!

FTC: Goddess Garden was generous enough to send me some of their products for free to test out. A big thank you goes out to them! All opinions are my own.
